Peggy Varniere (University Paris 7, France) One formalism for the three LFQPO types In most microquasars, Low-Frequency Quasi-Periodic Oscillations (LFQPO) have been classified in three types (A, B and C) but no explanation for the differences has been proposed yet. In 1999 the Accretion- Ejection Instability (AEI) was presented as a possible explanation for the fast varying LFQPO. Since then, we have expanded our model and we now look at a possible generalization to explain the characteristics of the other types of LFQPO. Indeed, it was recently shown that when the disk approaches its last stable orbit, the AEI is affected markedly by relativistic effects. Focusing on the characteristics of the Low-Frequency Quasi- Periodic Oscillations that would result from the Relativistic Accretion-Ejection Instability we compare them with the characteristics of different LFQPO types.
